4 days, max 12 per session

CIEH Level 3 Award In Health & Safety In The Workplace

3 day programme, max 15 per session

Accidents and illness can result in disability, death or incapacity for work. The supervisor is in an ideal position to influence, monitor and train employees. They can also ensure that managers are informed, persuaded, encouraged or pressured into providing for better health and safety standards.

This qualification provides a thorough understanding of health and safety emphasising the importance of monitoring staff and controls. It also details the need for a structured management approach to health and safety and the key factors in implementing health and safety policy.

QA Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

6 hours, Max 12 per session

The QA Level 2 Award is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency aid situations.

The course helps learners develop skills and knowledge to deal with choking, shock, wounds, bleeding, minor injuries and to administer CPR.

CPR Refresher Course

2 hours, max 12 per session

This is an interactive session which will give trainees the skills and confidence to deal with situations involving unconscious casualties. The course covers primary survey, choking and allergic reactions.

We can include an additional hour on how to use Automated External Defibrillators (AED) as part of this session

CIEH Level 3 Award In Risk Assessment, Principles & Practice

20 guided learning hours, max 15 per session

A properly implemented programme of risk assessments can assist in the prevention of injuries, fatalities, property damage incidents and other losses. This not only helps to prevent human loss and suffering, but also assists the effective management and finance of any business or organisation.
Following the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, employers with five or more employees also need to record the significant findings of the risk assessment.

This qualification provides a thorough understanding of the main categories of accidents and ill health, their socio-economic costs and the benefits of good health and safety management.

Employers are responsible for providing safe and healthy workplace conditions as well as the right systems and methods for safe activities. Nevertheless employees also have a vital part to play in the equation. They need the right knowledge and the right attitude which demands proper training in the basics of health and safety, as well as specific training for individual tasks.

CIEH Level 2 Award In Principles of Manual Handling

3 hours, max 15 per session

This qualification introduces candidates to the hazards and risks involved in manual handling and outlines what to expect from a manual handling assessment. It will enable employees to contribute to the development of safer manual handling methods and tasks in the workplace.

This qualification complements the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace. Aimed at those who carry out manual handling at work, it introduces candidates to the risks of manual handling and the controls available.

The qualification is not intended to train students to carry out manual handling assessments.

This course is designed for those who are responsible for overseeing fire safety and for designated fire marshals. The course gives delegates an understanding of fire regulations and general precautions.

The course aims to provide delegates with the knowledge and confidence to become a fire marshal.

Content includes understanding legislation, the nature of how fire spreads, duties in respect to emergencies, understanding different types of extinguishers and the role of Fire Marshals

CIEH Level 2 Award In Principles Of COSHH

3 hours, max 15 per session

This qualification is designed for those responsible for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) at work, as well as employees who use hazardous substances in manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and offices.

This qualification will prepare employees to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.

This qualification complements the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace by introducing candidates to the inherent risks in substances and the controls available.
