About Us

From its beginning in 1990, Health@Work’s agenda has focused on reducing and preventing work related ill-health. Over the years, Health@Work has developed a reputation for its effective service provision and its pioneering role in testing and launching innovative solutions to workplace health issues.

Independent
We are not part of the statutory enforcement or health sectors. We do not represent employers but work with them and with individuals to improve health at work.

Respected
Previously known as Liverpool Occupational Health Partnership, we have worked successfully for over 17 years and had an impact both locally and nationally. Our CHAT project produced a national handbook on voluntary sector health and safety.

Innovative
We are not just a local service provider, but seek to have a broad pioneering impact through research, policy and publicity. We seek new solutions to address national targets for the education of ill health and accidents caused by work

Effective
We aim to deliver on our promises and ensure that our work is properly evaluated by reputable bodies. Not everything we do will work-innovation doesn’t always succeed-but we aim to concentrate our efforts on the things that work best.

Underpinning our existing and potential activities is Health@Work’s ethos, experience and practice of partnership working.

Partnerships with Liverpool Primary Care Trust, City Council Environmental Health Departments and the Chamber of Commerce have been instrumental in ensuring our services reach the front line.
